Our team pride themselves on offering excellent customer service and they are all backed up with ongoing personal and professional development.  At Comprehensive Fire and Security Solutions our staff are our most important asset and we ensure that their training needs and development are our main priority. 

As well as employing a range of local people we also ensure that we have within our business the right mix of management staff to include our Business Manager, Amanda, our Administrator Paula our new Operations Manager and a range of experts that ensure the business runs smoothly.

Diversity in our workforce is a key driver and we reward good work with benefits and continued growth within our business.  Each and every member of our team are at the heart of our business and we do receive excellent customers feedback.  As we develop our services, we shall also spend time and money developing our people.


Dave Cook - Managing Director

With over 30 years of experience in the Security industry, Dave established Comprehensive Fire and Security Solutions in 2017. His grit and determination to offer the market a streamlined and bespoke service has won him some lucrative contracts with some highly valued clients. When Dave talks about his business and his ideas for the future of CFS, his passion for the industry is evident and it is clear to see why clients come on board, as the passion is infectious. When Dave gets some time to himself, though that can be rare, he likes a trip to the races and is regularly seen on days out with his grandchildren and his lovely wife Pam.

Pam Cook - Director

Since Comprehensive Fire and Security Solutions began in 2017, Pam has been a crucial cog in the machine, she heads up our passenger services providing vital transport for social care clients. Being part of a husband and wife team, Pam also enjoys downtime with her grandchildren, her lovely dog Frankie and getting a sunny holiday in when the occasion arises.

Paula Dawson - PA/Administrator

Paula joined the team in April 2021 as PA/Administrator to Dave Cook, combining the two roles to strengthen the working relationships and support the team going forward, she welcomes new and exciting challenges.

Out of work hours, Paula enjoys foreign travel, the hotter the better, her favourite places
being Malaysia and Greece.

“I am a highly organised Administrator with a wide skill set gained from a variety of
industries, including finance, travel and tourism. I am looking forward to the new venture
with CFS and being part of the team”

Darren Coggan - Security Team Leader

Since August 2018, Darren has been a Security Team Leader for Comprehensive Fire and Security Solutions, gaining knowledge and training alongside his job role to develop his skills. When Darren isn’t working, you’ll find him in the great outdoors as much as possible with his son and girlfriend, where they really enjoy having days out together.

 “One of my favourite things about working for CFS is the training courses we do. There are always opportunities to gain knowledge and experience, through different courses the company offers to staff. I feel these courses help us deal with various situations, both at work and in day to day life.”


Philip Westerman - Security Team Leader

Since August 2020, Phil has been a Security Team Leader for Comprehensive Fire and Security Solutions, gaining knowledge and training alongside his job role to develop his skills. When Phil isn’t working, you’ll find him in the great outdoors.

There are always opportunities to gain knowledge and experience, through different courses the company offers to staff.

I enjoy being part of a supportive team.

Darren Johnson - Team Security Officer

Darren has been with Comprehensive Fire and Security Solutions since July 2020.

Darren really enjoys being part of a friendly and supportive team and really appreciates the work/life balance this role allows him to have.

Richard Donald - Mobile Patrol/Security Team Leader

Having had a working relationship with Dave for over 25 within different projects, Richard re-joined the team in 2020 . He has since taken up night duties within our patrol and response team and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role. Outside of work Richard is an enthusiastic songwriter and musician playing guitar, drums and keyboards.

'It's great to be back working with Dave and I'm really enjoying my role. Everyone at CFS is approachable and management is always available to support us, we are a very professional team and I'm proud to be a part of it'.

Dave Thomas - Mobile Patrol/Security Team Leader

Having had a professional working relationship with our MD which spans in excess of 25 years, so when Comprehensive Fire and Security Solutions was established, it made sense that he would become a hugely valued member of the team. Heading up our Patrol and Response Team, Dave has worked for CFS since December 2017. When he isn’t at work, Dave is a keen photographer and enjoys going on holidays with his wife.

Chris Owen - H&S Consultant

Chris Owen - Chief Health & Safety Advisor

Running a successful business himself, Optimum Safety Management Ltd, Chris is our chief Health and Safety Advisor providing all our Health and Safety documentation, health and safety training and assists in gaining our safe contractor accreditation. Since CFS began, Chris has helped us ensure we are ticking all the right boxes where Health and Safety is concerned and doing a great job of it too! Outside of his career, Chris is a cycling enthusiast regularly seen on his road bike on Lincolnshire’s roads, or at home spending time with his wife and two children.

“I have known Dave and Pam for many years and have been CFS health and safety advisor from the beginning.  We started our business at the same time, and I have had the pleasure of seeing CFS grow exponentially in that time. They are a fantastic company to work with and I look forward to working with them as their health and safety advisor as the business grows.”
